Deus Logos Ex-Press

This blog is an amalgamation of the ongoing escapades of the Last Word Books Friends & Family Printing Project. We've got an old Chandler & Price Platen Press from 1934(?) named Ampersand stuffed into the back of Last Word and three old Kelsey's at Hungry Hollow Farm. Soon we will be letterpressing local poetry broadsides, beer coasters, chapbooks, flyers, LP covers, cd covers, 'zines and whatever else we can come up with.

NA Graphics - Letterpress Supplies

I've heard good things about this guy Fritz from other printers. Definitely worth checking out, even though they currently seem to be out of the gauge pins I want. Curses.

Picked up a few additional pieces of fonts and random blocks off e-bay. Some decent tweezers and an old sewing bodkin.

Another successful Arts Walk in Oly. We actually inked all three rollers and the disc for the first time and (without gauge pins, grippers or a feed board, mind you) and printed maybe fifty more Olympia Beer Broadsides. Many mistakes, many lessons, big mess, lots of fun.

From their site: NA Graphics' owner, Fritz Klinke, has over 40 years of printing and letterpress experience and quite likely has an answer, or knows where he can find one, for your questions. A separate letterpress shop is run by Fritz--he has C&P, Kelsey, Vandercook, Miehle, and Little Giant presses along with literally tons (and tons!) of other equipment.
